Slade making transparent pixels black?

FishingHoek

Question

Slade hasn't done this for me before, and I'm really confused.

I've tried cleaning up the image and importing it again but it won't fix it, it was fine when I imported it the first time around. However, when I went back to clean up the image after noticing some minor details and imported it again, it turned all of the transparent pixels black.

I even checked in-game, there's just a black rectangle on that one sprite. Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

Slade never edits images or other resources on import. This is due to XWE which liked to automatically convert resources transparently, confusing users as to what the specifications were, or even producing results that weren't expected for ports that expanded the standards.

As such, your issue is more than likely going to be in your image editor and how you exported the image. Perhaps you forgot to set the PNG format to 32bit rather than 24bit, for example.

Strangely enough, it was set to 8bit and worked with all the other images, and setting it to 32bit fixed it. Thanks for the help!
