Szuran Posted June 7, 2020 (edited) So I want to make a proper end screen with text. Here are my questions, please help 1. I know that text screen has to use a flat as the background, but I want to use a custom image, is it possible? 2. If that's not possible, can I make an end screen with just a pic, or a series of pics? Like, go from map 06 to pic 1, then to pic 2, then end the game? How to do it in mapinfo? Kappes Buur Posted June 7, 2020 Have a look at my tutorial. Other than that it's Eviternity which comes to mind. They used ZMAPINFO instead of MAPINFO. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I figured out enough based on your tutorial. However, one question: can I insert a pic like TITLEPIC in the background? How? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I used an image called SCREEN, in the cluster definition of MAPINFO use pic = SCREEN for the intermission background. edit: Ugh, I just noticed that Mediafire was acting up with my example pwads, that is fixed now. I don't want it to continue onto Map 4 of the 'real' Episode.....I just want it to end. Chipper35 Posted November 13, 2021 This is going to be awkward, because I don't quite know how to ask it: But........how do I 'see' MAPINFO? I open onto my 3rd map and then open Script Editor and its blank.......... I think I'm editing in Doom 2 mode.....I think. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chipper35 Posted November 13, 2021 Why didn't someone say so?! Essentially.....to fool around with MAPINFO, I need to do some editing in SLADE, right?! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

You need an application like Slade to check lumps like MAPINFO. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xdude_gamer Posted November 13, 2021 You can also use ENDEDIT which allows you to make some pretty ANSI lumps 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Here is a relevant thread that mentions Slade (or any lump editor) to do this.
