Boomslang Posted June 8, 2020 Yoo! i just hacked my Nintendo official 2DS! Yes i did! oh yeah! now, i want to play doom on it! (even though i have it on literally everything) and i was wondering, what's the best port for the 3ds! i own an old 2ds not a "new" one (worst naming convention for a console) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dark Pulse Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) Not sure myself, but I remember there's a port of PRBoom. Seems there might be better alternatives though. When in doubt, go with something that looks like it was worked on fairly recently. :) And ahh, that takes me back. It's so easy to jailbreak a 3DS now. I remember when jailbreaking my o3DS, I had to actually downgrade my firmware to 9.2 with risking bricking the system if something went wrong... Then a month or two after that, Arm9LoaderHax came out, and I avoided that for a few years... Then when I finally did that, Boot9Strap came out a few months later... So I just did that on day one. Even a verified day one installer of it. :P Edited June 8, 2020 by Dark Pulse 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ferk Posted June 13, 2020 (edited) If you have Retroarch on the 3DS already, the latest version of the PrBoom core works on 3DS too. Let me know if there are issues with it. Edited June 13, 2020 by Ferk 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
