How do you download unofficial classic doom games?

Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen were for free that were added in GZDoom.

so I should play Plutonia 2 with Plutonia but other wads? Doom 2 is fine for other wads?

Or just don't play Plutonia wads. The vast majority of wads are for doom2.wad.

For GZDoom, I dont know what version of Final Doom I am supposed to download so that it can appear in GZDoom. But that friend can help on it as he is the one who put Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen in my GZDoom.

 

I had these in my old computer and I had downloaded them myself on torrent back then but today (2020)  most links are problem links on torrent. I could download a lot more on torrent back in 2018 (for free). Now I cannot download most things on torrent sadly (game related).

That was the rez the engine was running, not a limitation of final doom.

So Final Doom will be downloaded the way my friend did for Doom, Doom 2, Heretic and Hexen? He still got them for free. No money.

 

These days, I cant even open most things I dowload. I dont know what changed since 2018.

 

Maybe my new pc is set this way? My point is I could open anything I download with my older pc in 2018.

• Final Doom is a paid program.
• Why delete the game because it has 320x200? Every Doom engine game sans the modern ones originally output in this resolution. You can get greater resolutions with source ports (like Chocolate Doom).

There is literally no reason to delete a game based on that. But atleast you are stating the correct aspect ratio :P

Do know that admitting that you downloaded Final Doom through a torrent is admitting to piracy.

At this point i have to politely request to not wander off doing things on the PC you don't know what the consequences are from. It seems like whenever you do start doing things on your own, the PC throws an error.

This is not mean't to be harsh but i think we should atleast agree that your knowledge is severely restrained for anything but the most basic tasks.

I know it from downloading movies. The same way. But I cannot open almost everything I download on my new pc, which I could on my older pc without doing nothing else but install and open. This doesnt happen with the new pc as I said. Lol.

Just download U Torrent, then go to kickass torrent.

 

But today almost nothing game related works in my new pc from torrent. Just movies. 

 

I downloaded maybe 300 movies from torrent. I didnt count :D

 

I watched all those movies with english subtitles but my english is still poor, right?

Yes, Plutonia 2 for plutonia.wad
TNT: Revilution for TNT.wad

There is a .txt that comes with every .wad you download, there you will find what game is it for (UDoom, Doom2, Plutonia, TNT)

You ** can ** get legitimate stuff via a torrent, but IWADs, movies etc. are proprietary and owned copyrighted material. It is not legal to illegally copy them. That is theft.

The point is, the IWADs - regardless of where you got them - are needed in the (G)ZDoom installation as the source for most, if not all, of the resources needed to correctly display and play a PWAD. There are many many guides out there that explain how to do it, and you can always use google translate to convert to your native language.

 

As many others have suggested here, I also would suggest that learning some basics of how a computer filesystem and program launching works would make life MUCH easier for you. 

 

It is clear that you don't have much PC understanding (that's OK) - I posit that learning some basics will greatly enhance your ability to do stuff - specifically loading doom wads... 

 

I understand it is hard to learn new skills, particularly with a language barrier as well, but honestly, the guys here really are trying to help you. We all love Doom and want to share that love.

IWADS are paid programs. Final Doom is a paid program. Just because a torrent is legal in Turkey does not mean that a torrent of Final Doom is.

In any case, if you can't get Final Doom working for whatever reason, it's not the worst thing in the world. You have doom2.wad and doom.wad (I assume) with GZDoom, and that's enough for 98% of wads.

 

If you want more recommendations, this thread lists the ones that are most popular on this forum. Just keep in mind that some of these (e.g. Sunlust) are way harder than Plutonia, so don't feel bad about playing on HMP or even HNTR if it seems necessary. Especially since it sounds like you're playing with a keyboard only.

Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen are downladed for free which were put in GZDoom. 

 

Final Doom, I am sure, is the same way but I havent downladed those so I will take the help from that friend. He downloaded all which he put in GZDoom for free. So he will do. I will ask. All are for free.
