Chip Posted July 6, 2020 @Cantleylads I don't experience that, at all. The input delay may just be the PS4 or controller itself. Strafing is pretty easy, just hold the left analog stick to the left or right. My experience was very fun. sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

My controller and console are fine as I dont experience delay in any other game. Sure, I can straferun, just without any precision. I recently went through thy flesh consumed on UV, with only a couple of deaths. The games are certainly playable. If you have Doom Eternal, play either classic game within the fortress of doom. Sure, being the BFG edition ports, they run at 35fps instead of 60fps, but the responsiveness of the controls compared to the new ports is like night and day! Well, at least for me. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Allhailnewflesh Posted July 13, 2020 It still amazes me that they actually managed to bring so many patches and new additions to what was such a bad initial release. 60fps, community add ons support, music fixes, etc, I think no one expected them to do it given the previous lackluster history of Doom ports on consoles. They could've easily left the game in its original state release and forget about it. But they for some reason decided to take an extra step and bring all these updates to a 25+ years old game not a lot of people care nowadays. Maybe we should thank Doom Eternal for it which I don't care one bit for, lol 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Plasi Garbo Posted July 20, 2020 I think even with the updates doom 1 and 2 on ps4 and xb1 are still low quality doom 64 is a way better port and what I want 1 and 2 to be but Bethesda or ID don't care. >the game is still 4:3 or 16:10 stretched no widescreen like doom 64 >no fov slider like doom 64 >what ever midi they used is garbage >AND WHY CAN I NEVER SKIP THE FUCKING LOGOS WHY DO ALL DOOM GAMES DO THIS WHYYYYY >oh and bethesda net can suck my chode 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

If they don't care, they would let the port be as is since launch. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
