seed Posted June 20, 2020 Simply use command line arguments to do what you want. You need a desktop shortcut of one of the executables for that first, and you add them at the end of the Target box. For instance, here's a random Target box: "D:/Games/PrBoom/glboom_plus.exe" -iwad doom2.wad -file aa.wad -complevel 9. If you want fast monsters also add the -fast parameter. If you want to start directly on a map use -warp (map number here, ex. -warp 10. If you leave it empty it takes you to the first map of the wad), and for recording demos -record (name here). You can also specify the difficulty level with -skill (number, ex: -skill 1 is ITYTD, 2 HNTR, 3 HMP, etc.) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ahmedalhloul97 Posted June 20, 2020 Thank you very much I still have one small question , is there a way to play singleplayer with co op monsters (solo-net) but without the weapons staying on the ground after picking them? , just like decino did in his Btsx playthrough 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Truly a hack fraud of scammed proportions. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
cu2 Posted June 20, 2020 I personaly use ZDL (here are info of this) to launch every source port I have. It has come so much in handy and it saves you almost all the command line parameters. You can still add some if you want, of course. Another very neat thing in general is that almost all the popular source ports, as far as I know, use the same command line parameters as vanilla doom, so you don't have to memorise a lot of things Here is a screenshot of my setup. You can just select your source port from the list at the top right, the iwad and to the left your pwads (can be multiple, so you can just fit your sprite fix in there, too). Very neat tool, more people should use it. Another thing you can do is use shortcuts. You can have a shortcut of the source port executable and modify it to launch one pwad. It isn't as complicated as it sounds... You can also add custom icons to them! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
cu2 Posted June 20, 2020 Also, an addendum to the above... Have a look at this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9scf1ISvYZs. Pretty informative and with good links in the description, too. If you like decino (I think you do :P), you'll probably find this guy, Dwars, a good place for doom videos, too. Usually, you won't have to set compatibility levels, except if you want to record speedrun demos or if you are a complete purist nitpicker that wants everything to be the original way they were meant to be... I don't judge! :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
