What's the hardest map pack out there?

Yeah I'm gonna suggest Dimensions like all the other people here. I've beaten okuplok and dimensions map03 kicked my ass pretty hard. Harder than oku in my opinion (without taking maxability into consideration).

Hey,

As has been said, be careful with estimating your skill level. I would be surprised if you were supremely good, but were unaware of some of the WADs mentioned (but I could be wrong).

 

I suggest  you have a careful look at this. Ones towards the hardest end of the spectrum are pretty cruel even for good players.

It might help for you to tell us some WADs you have played and how tough you found them. This would allow us to calibrate our recommendations. Or just load stuff up and see how it goes. Good luck.

Depends on how good you are at Doom. Remember that easier wads can be made to be harder by doing things like playing from pistol start and not saving during a level. Try Sunlust on Hurt me Plenty difficulty, if that's too easy then try some of the other suggestions in this thread. If as I suspect you find that too difficult then I would suggest trying Scythe 2, those maps start out fairly easy but they get really tough from map20 onwards, skip to map23 if you're impatient and see how that goes on Ultra Violence.

Dark Tartarus is probably the hardest doable wad I've played. I only managed to beat the first map and I did it with saves. It's for GZDoom only though, and you're gonna need to use mouselook and turn on crouching and jumping to find the secrets.
