StalkerBlade Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) I was so disappointed in my last disastrous model build that I wanted to try it again, except this time, I wanted to make it a much harder on myself as a punishment. A full custom paint job. I've never done anything like that before and almost screwed it up several times, but it ended up coming out like I wanted. I gloss coated the entire model and didn't use any enamel materials this time to keep it from melting. This one can actually be posed around without falling apart, unlike my last one. The whole process took about 3 days to complete. results: Pretty happy with how it came out. Also not sure what type of class this would be...The layout of the gray color was based off of the Shocktrooper's. Maybe it's some kind of Imperial mechanic class that's in charge of repairing the at-st walkers or something, idk. This is the model I used, in case anyone's curious: https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Spirits-Hobby-Star-Sandtrooper/dp/B00YGEKJZ2 I might do the at-st model next, not sure yet though.. Chip Posted July 6, 2020 I love your work, always! So you put this together with like instructions or a set. Have you ever thought of making like your own mold? it would be awesome to see a whole recreation of like E1M1 from scratch! Just a suggestion, but still, awesome! Can't wait to see more in the future! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I pretty much just painted and weathered it. On 7/5/2020 at 11:13 PM, LiT_gam3r said: Have you ever thought of making like your own mold? I have been looking into kitbashing a little bit lately...Might try that out some time. I don't know much about making molds though. Sounds like it could be fun to do some day, and could also be pretty useful; especially when making custom builds. @elend Almost ruined my eyes putting those details in, lol. It's not a very big model, so I had to use a magnifying glass to get them in there... 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted July 31, 2020 Hey, @StalkerBlade have you seen the DOOM Reaper Miniatures are back on the Bethesda Store? Have you thought of getting those and painting them? Your painting is amazing, and I wonder what your take on the DOOM characters would be! Check it out! a link is found in this thread. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted August 2, 2020 @LiT_gam3r Pretty cool. $200 is kind of steep for some miniatures, though. If there were some Doom model kits, or even some high detailed figures or something, I'd definitely be interested. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
