Status Bar Faces and levels

I'm not really sure where to start! I want to make a custom status bar face of my character or of me + I kinda want to start making levels! Can someone help me!

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. What you want to do is:

 

1) Select the status bar graphics from doom.wad or doom2.wad using SLADE3 (there are 42 frames in total)

2) Right click them once they're all selected. Export as PNG files

3) modify them however you like

4) re-import them into you own wad, again in SLADE

5) select them all after they've been imported, right click and convert to Doom graphics format.

 

That should be all there is to it!
