Clippy's new Doom 2 map - 2 Cyberdemons!

Hey guys I haven't mapped since like the end of May

 

And I wanted to make SOMETHING ( so it's not up to my usual standards I was just having fun )

 

So I threw this together, it's my shortest map

 

Standard Doom 2 but I like to play on Gzdoom, especially on dynamic lights cause that looks cool

 

No jumping or crouching ~~ I don't care if you free look or whatever

 

all difficulty settings supported but maybe a bit too hardcore on UV....

@mArt1And00m3r11339 nice work on my map Buddy. That mod was fun and colourful. Excellent inventory Haul at the end there LOL

 

@Biodegradable I loved your video man that made me laugh really hard. Sorry for the torture. Should have mentioned this was an over-the-top map

Bwahaha, that's hilarious, I got a whole set of new pandemonium levels if you want to do any FDAs there are some real fun ones. Format is hexan, boom, and limit removing so you can even play on your old computer if you wanted to XD

If I played it correctly, I think the aim is to run past all the enemies in the corridors to get to the SSG, then fight your way back? If that's the case, the Backpack needs to be in the SSG area to minimise the amount of backtracking as you run out of 50 Shells quite regularly on the way back. A Chaingun would help a lot with the final area given the amount of Zombiemen you have, and when I found 50 Bullets behind a door in a corridor, I was really expecting to find that weapon. I enjoyed the "dance of the Cyberdemons", trying to hit all the switches to get the BFG while avoiding their Rockets.

 

Fun little map, with just some minor tweaking needed really.

yeeaaaa i maxed on blind hahaahahah

anyways, video uploading, i died 20000 times in the last arena, some weird strategy choices to blame, but i liked it cause it made things different hahahaha

@Clippy still elaborating, should be up in some minutes, not a great playthrough to be honest, but it was fun :)

i think the bullets there were more to make you open that door and trap yourself there ahahahah, Clippy style. But yea there is indeed a chaingun, somewhere :P

Video linked (UV playthrough) below. It starts with a failed attempt when I realised I didn't have enough health to survive the zombiemen horde (never known a level where zombiemen are so lethal lol), I restarted at 22:00 in the video and was successful.

 

The Hell Revealed-style SSG corridor grind at the start didn't enthuse me, but the switch sequence dodging the two cybers was way more fun (there is probably enough ammo to SSG the cybers, but I'd had enough grind by that point and dodging the cybers is way more fun). I managed to get all the secrets, which I count as a win even though the secret count is low by Clippy standards.

Damn, finally I can Sign up to doomworld and post my run buddy:

 

 

The start made me think this wasnt a Clippy map, too hectic, but things took "clippy" form really quick.

Loved the way you are pushed towards without knowing whats going to happen, but is almost a start point relocation, really nice!

As I said on my youtube comment, I would have been way more sadistic with the last area, like mixing waves of zombieman with the Cyber-demons, but thats me.

@Horus I look forward to watching your video later. Thanks buddy. Yes somebody asked me if I was feeling okay because I only put three secrets in LOL. I just want to make a short little map for a change

 

@Soulless great play through buddy. yeah I thought it'd be interesting if the main event wasn't the two cyber demons. But a bunch of weak zombieman which are threatening in a huge group. again good job on facing them out in the open. During testing I retreated a lot

Have a weeb run of the level with DemonSteele.

 

 

Tend to play the mod's other character more often, but this is definitely one where I think Hae-Lin was the right call, what with the limited arsenal/ammo available in this map (not helped by the chaingun not spawning for some reason). The final arena took a while for me to conquer, but as you can probably tell I still had a jolly good time with it. The comical number of switches required to get to the blue skull was both amusing and an interesting way to pace one's resource collection as you deal with the cyberdemons.

Another Clippy map for sure!
Still uploading, took me a bit at first to figure it out, but I made it, I didn't think UV was too bad, though I did quick save an awful lot.

Would be tough to beat with no saves. (Yeah i missed the S in the splash screen :/ )
