⇛Marnetmar⇛ Posted August 16, 2020 (edited) Through the magic of technology, I'm working to make Doom Eternal's soundtrack more listenable and less congested sounding. If you're not an audiophile of sorts you probably shouldn't worry too much about this, but if you are and have a decent set of speakers/headphones, it should hopefully sound a little more natural and less like the speaker has a blanket over it. If you have any feedback, please don't hesitate to give it. Here's Hell On Earth Full soundtrack release imminent, stand by Without further ado, here's part one: Due to limited internet speeds, I will be splitting this into two parts: part one has the "main" soundtrack while part two has all the miscellaneous one-off and ambient stuff. Part two should be up tomorrow. Enjoy! Edit: Here's part two: Edited August 31, 2020 by Marn 10 Quote Share this post Link to post
Martin-CAI Posted August 16, 2020 (edited) Loved the version and the idea. I wouldn't say I'm a real audiophile myself, but I love listening to music in a good quality. I find the same problem with the OG soundtrack. In most of the cases, it's a mess of noises, being a pity considering the quality of its predecessor. Again, I really like the idea, so you have my support! Edited August 16, 2020 by Martin-CAI 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Koko Ricky Posted August 23, 2020 Unless you have access to all the separate tracks for each piece, all you can really do is limit/compress the master. That doesn't really allow you to adjust the compression that was applied beforehand. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

However, subtractive EQ and the occasional use of some mid/side has made a lot of difference. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the final result. (Currently 43/59 tracks are done) Edited August 23, 2020 by Marn 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Kristian Nebula Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) It does sound much better now, with ears adjusted for music producing / sonic manipulation for 20 years. Keep it up! :) Edited August 24, 2020 by Kristian Nebula 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
