So after completeing Doom Eternal and then later completing Spear of Destiny I began to wonder if Doomguy is still related to BJ? They dont really seem to mention it in either of the new DOOM games.

Yes, that was a metion for the Wolfestein RPG after B.J figths the Tyrant. He after dying says he will find his descendents and kill them.

Play the Doom RPG, and the Cyber-Demon is the final boss i trink of the game. That and after that you see you name of the marine shares the Blazkowicz.

There is also Flynn Taggart, the name of the doom marines of the novels, and the password to unlock Doom 2 on Doom Eternal.

Fans will be hyped and crazy if he a descendent of B.J anyways. And how they embraced the rip and tear comic, im really hope they take this fan-fic in reallity.

id games always had these "connections" (like easter eggs, references, reused assets, ideas etc) that are easy to miss and may or may not exist solely to just make people interpret things in their own ways or just because. so there could be inconsistencies with the possible "universe" that id created by accident.

I think id at this point is aware of people making theories about it, although it also depends on whether or not their new universe will please how people interpreted the "idverse" after all these years and whether or not it could be worth it.

I feel like random easter eggs or maybe some hard proof of a multiverse with multiple timelime that tries to justify as much things as possible can also happen.

You know, Wolfestein:Youngblood, hinted at the possibility of Multipke Timelines.

I guess multiple timelines might as well fit how the series as "canon contradicting" stuff and different art styles, reboots, etc along with a history of experimentation and even a lot of variety on mods and fanart and all that.

The developers even talk about comic books inspiring the new games, which is a medium where a lot of alternate takes of an existing entity happen.
