Dr.Ferret Posted August 24, 2020 I put doom 2016 down since that is the first one in the for the new games therefore the main game. Anyways, the spidermastermind is hard to hit and attacks fast. It also has you in a small space. While the icon of sin Has enemies coming at you not to mention it is a titan. But which is truly harder? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Biodegradable Posted August 24, 2020 Icon of Sin, absolutely. The Spider-Mastermind's a pushover. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chezza Posted August 24, 2020 Both can be taken down easily enough if you're well aware of their attack patterns backed up but sufficient player skill. Icon of Sin is notably more difficult because of the enemies spawning in and its potential one shot kills (may vary based on difficulty) if you're not paying attention. Personally I find the Maykr more challenging than the Spider Mastermind as well. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted August 24, 2020 LoL. it isn't even a contest. IoS by a longshot. SM was a joke, IMO. IoS took me a good 3 tries before I finally hit that bastard 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SilverMiner Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) When I first played thru Doom and entered Dis, I thought it's going to be a tough battle so I switched to BFG. I heard the Spider on the right and downed with only one shot. Simplest boss IMO. When I first entered map30 of Doom 2, I didn't know what I had to do so I think it's a bit tougher than common boss fights. EDIT: aww shoot it's newfangled doom thread Edited August 24, 2020 by SilverMiner 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Samuel Slayer Posted August 29, 2020 Icon Of Sin, I guess. You're swarmed by demons constantly and need to micro-manage your assets to keep taking out his bodybarts. Spider mastermind is just one giant monster alone in a damp cave. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xdarkmasterx Posted August 29, 2020 Spider killed me once. Barely even had to move to beat Icon as he pounded random places in the arena where I wasn't :p 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SaladBadger Posted August 29, 2020 I can understand waning to get information about the game before going into it, but at some point, I feel it's going to be more productive to just actually play the game and make your own judgements instead of asking 20 thousand questions about it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Hypnotik Posted August 29, 2020 Icon of Sin. But both are a challenge. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted August 30, 2020 oh, my original post was about the old DOOMs. I haven't finished 2016 or Eternal, so I don't know. SM looks scarier, though. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Eurisko Posted August 30, 2020 I'd say they are about equal when you know what you're doing. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
