TenenteZashu Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) This mod takes place in the new Doom canon so you won't be playing as Doom Guy. After the events of Doom 64 and the disappearance of Doom guy, the UAC went back on its bullshit opening yet another portal to hell and now your job is to locate it and close it. This mod features: - a 32 levels campaign, balanced for the base game, pistol start and Brutal Doom, that ranges from short and linear levels (first half) to more open maps (second half). - a soundtrack featuring MIDIs of songs such as Painkiller (Judas's Priest) and The Trooper (Iron Maiden). I can't promise that the mod is gonna be ready for early 2021 since I'm the only one working on the maps and I'm not even that experienced but there should be an update roughly every month, those updates will contain new maps or overhauls of maps that have been already completed and maybe some new sprites. I tested this megaWAD with GZDoom, Zandronum and Crispy Doom, you should definitely use GZDoom because in Zandronum the music doesn't work and in Crispy Doom some elements from certain maps (example a secret in map 1) won't work properly. At the moment there are only 4 maps available and most of the sprites are simple edits of vanilla sprites. Down below there's gonna be a list of changes that this mod applies to the base game: Dehacked patch that makes the chainsaw and chaingun faster New sprites for the Pinkie Demon (credits to Neoworm and Vader) Pain Elemental that now uses the sprites of the Disciple of D'Spairl from Heretic, extracted and recolored by TakandaSkies, the lost souls are replaced by the gargoyles from Heretic, again extracted by TakandaSkies RSKY1 is Freedom's RSKY1 Hitscanner enemies taken by a wad that I forgot the name (still, credits to the original author) Soulsphere will max your health up to 150 regardless of your current percentage More to come Here's some screenshots: Spoiler And here's the most important part, the download link Before closing I'd like to say a few last words: Jump is required to reach some secrets and advance in later levels, I invite everyone to highlight the problems with the maps, especially if resource placement is balanced, same thing for the monsters, don't except new posts for updates, come back to this one if you want know if there's something new I hope you're gonna enjoy playing these maps as much as I enjoyed creating them!
