You've probably found this already but in Avactor map 10 there is a secret annex with lots of pirate boats and you have to claim yours is the fiercest, worth checking if you didn't (:

Memoirs of Magic is a pretty underrated DOOM engine game, and it has a pretty cool ship too!

There's a small minisode from 95' that takes place on an ocean liner. Aptly named Ocean Liner of Doom. It uses all stock resources. Pretty adorable.

The same boat! You can see it from above the surface and under the surface. From marina.wad. Neat gimmick for the time.

 

 

Then there's destroyr.wad. Real dark map.

Yep, same here! My map originally did have a boat but it certainly couldn't cut custard vanilla wise to put it lightly, so Essel took over and gave the ship the name Visplane Overflow (or was it dew?). Fun list to read by the way!

All of these boats are so cute. Everyone says Doom shouldn't be done for these sorts of things, and to be fair that's usually true, but I love what mappers are able to pull off with both stock and custom resources to add just that extra familiar touch to their maps.

It looks like the boat is far away (but is not). Regardless of was it an intentional joke - this is a very unusual and interesting sense of humor.

Also can be an example of doomcute in my opinion.
