Reset level after dying?

How can I make it so that I lose all of my weapons when I die, instead of loading to the last save when I die? I use GZDoom for all of the doom games, when I play Final Doom, the level resets when I die and I lose my weapons, but on Doom 2, it loads my latest save instead of resetting the level. The settings I use for both games are the same, can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

Your question was answered in the previous thread, turn off autosave. I don't know why it only happens in Doom 2, but just turn off autosave. You can also try the "Always Pistol Start" mod, but I don't know it strips inventory after death.
