Job Posted November 10, 2020 I was finishing up the second large trial battle in the Blood Swamps when I had evicted the spirit out the last Baron of Hell. There were enough fodder enemies to make it tough to keep my ghost buster beam on it, so it slipped into one of the remaining gargoyles. After mopping up the little guys, he was the only one left. I was moving around the arena, taking pot shots at him, then evading, etc. While I was looking for him again, I heard the scream of the spirit and then saw the checkpoint saved message. The Doom knight appeared and presented me the other half of the medallion. What gives? I never heard about spirits having a limited time they could inhabit a host. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

It has sometimes happened to me without the spirit, that if there is only 1 fodder demon left in an arena and I don't kill it in some amount of time, the game kills it and let's me progress forward. I have been wondering if it's a mechanism to allow progress in case a fodder demon falls outside of the map or something. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
igg Posted November 10, 2020 This even happened to me during my 2nd Icon of Sin fight. I was lazy and played it safe: Stay downstairs, kill all demons with Crucible, collect armor, health and ammo, go upstairs, fire 2-3 shots, repeat. After I've been downstears for a while it died. Dunno whether it was his own fire, friendly fire of demons or a bug. If I remember correctly there was even a statistic claiming ~0,1% finished the campaign without killing the IoS. Maybe the same bug? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ZeroTheEro Posted November 14, 2020 I believe that's a feature as a failsafe should a fodder gets stuck somewhere you can't reach it when you needed to kill it progress. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
