Roebloz Posted December 21, 2020 E2M2 has FINALLY managed to be ported, but there are some problems that need to be fixed before I can make a video on that cursed level. It will probably gonna be smooth sailing from now on. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 23, 2020 E2M4 is starting development while E2M2 is undergoing bugfixes. I mainly need to add a little bit more action to E2M2 (A lot of things were cut to import this level because the importer and/or Z_Malloc would stop working such as some useless sections of the crate maze, as well as a lot of enemies which I will add back progressively) At least, the crusher room is in here! Intact! I'll probably add some enemies to some rooms to spice it back up. Oh, and the chaingun room is still there. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
SgtGhost Pepper Posted December 23, 2020 Gonna keep my eyes on this and crack into it when all three episodes are done so I can dedicate some time to it. All things considered, back in the day the 32x port was a really economic choice to someone who just wanted to play Doom, and it sucks due to technical constraints (I'd assume anyway, or just laziness - I dunno I wasn't even alive when the port came out) the game lacked a lot of the meat on the PC versions bones. Pretty freakin cool dude, absolutely gonna tear into this once it's all primed up. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

The Almighty Egg Posted December 23, 2020 how do i install this? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

In other words, you unzip the xdelta patch from the zip in the mediafire link. Then you get the 32X rom of Doom. Then you patch it with XdeltaUI. Then you load it with an emulator (I suppose you don't own a 32X) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Pretty freakin cool dude, absolutely gonna tear into this once it's all primed up. That is the main reason why I'm doing this in the first place: Restore most of the PC version bones to the chicken wings. I said most, because I won't have all textures for Episode 2 and 3 imported as there seems to be a limit on how many textures you can have, but there is still going to be more than SNES Doom that is known as the first fairly accurate Doom port. (Oh, and crushers are here.) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 23, 2020 EPISODE 1 UPDATE! I have an update for Episode 1 as we managed to make E1M8 transition to the end game story screen directly! The first post has been updated with a link, but here it is if you are too lazy to go back to the first page. https://www.mediafire.com/file/sp261vum8j43wls/Doom32xDeltaEpisode1_v2.zip/file 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

A Nobody Posted December 24, 2020 Hah! Screw your Jaguar rules, John Carmack. Now the 32x version will be like the PC version. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 24, 2020 Just now, The Strife Commando said: Hah! Screw your Jaguar rules, John Carmack. Now the 32x version will be like the PC version. Exactly. Not a 1/1 mirror match, but even closer to 1/1 than the SNES version. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 26, 2020 Development was on break for the holidays, now we are going back to your regularly scheduled programming. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 28, 2020 Development of E2M4 has started and is going pretty well so far, had a few Z_Malloc errors but everything should work fine quickly. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 29, 2020 I didn't really have anything done yesterday as I was working on my Zelda Classic quest, but today we finish the Deimos Lab. I mean, I. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 30, 2020 E2M4 is almost done, I am currently only fixing some things to prevent Z_Malloc to fail. Expect a video soon! (For real this time) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted December 30, 2020 E2M4 is finally done, and with that I shall introduce the second big bad villains next to the Cyberdemon in Episode 2: The Infernum Lords! Profile They might look like Realm667 Baron of Hell recolors, that's because they are, but the two Infernum Lords are way tougher than their pink brothers. The only two members of a unique breed, they are able to tank way more punishment than Barons of Hell (And Hell Knights for that matter). They are able to shoot blazing cannonballs that deal similar damage to the Barons and Hell Knights's green plasma fireball...things. Is that all there is to it? Cannonballs and more health? Of course not, else the Cyberdemon would have not made them his personal lieutnants in leading the Deimos Invasion. The Infernum Lords have an insanely powerful illusion power, which allows them to create illusions of themselves. While those illusions are only about as powerful as a Baron of Hell would be, they still mean business. You will meet the Infernum Lords with the Cyberdemon in E2M8. Chances are though...They might have other ambitions than to serve. (Oh, and one of them is a girl but no different sprite for you, HDoomers.) 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted January 2, 2021 E2M5 is starting development, it should be an easy map to get going after the trouble I had with E2M2. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted January 6, 2021 Finished E2M5, so here is the traditional video of me struggling to finish the level. (This level is hard to pistol start) I didn't remove much so the map is still recognizable. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
VGA Posted January 6, 2021 Hm? I don't remember that dude in E2M5 :D 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted January 7, 2021 What? Is it the Infernum Lord? Oh yeah I should probably introduce them, huh. https://imgur.com/a/ooD2eze 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

xX_Lol6_Xx Posted January 11, 2021 I may be the only one who is suffering this, but when I downloaded the episode 1, the files had no extension Is it just me? Please tell me Thanks 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xX_Lol6_Xx Posted January 11, 2021 here's the WinRar screenshot, so you can understand me Are they supposed to be xdelta files? Because they're just normal files, no extension Archivo means file 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Try patching them. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xX_Lol6_Xx Posted January 12, 2021 It could be that. But I've already solved it, I renamed them added them the xdelta extension and patched the ROM. By the way, awesome work. And thanks for the help 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xX_Lol6_Xx Posted January 12, 2021 Both the episode 1 and Thy Flesh Consumed are awesome, look almost like the original. Good job. Has a lot of potential. Keep it up! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
