Pixel Fiend Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) Well I guess it could be soundtrack with the playable WAD attached I guess. Or some kind of decoration. I didn't consider it as jewel case cover design from the beginning so I don't have the background in that shape. Edited December 7, 2020 by <<Rewind 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Nevander Posted December 7, 2020 Why have the vertical name if it wouldn't be for a case? That's why they exist for every CD case out there. Besides, you could burn the WADs to CDs... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Pixel Fiend Posted December 7, 2020 Okay, maybe I'll try to recreate it as proper back cover. Does anyone have some software that makes 3D mockups of jewel cases? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Pixel Fiend Posted December 8, 2020 Some concept doodles. This looks just awful. But maybe next attempt will yield something presentable. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Nevander Posted December 8, 2020 The ones you've been doing are fine. Just resize them to fit standard jewel case dimensions and add the two side labels. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

TheEvilGrin Posted December 8, 2020 map15 is tricyclic looper, not tryicyclonic. I'd better say it no. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Made a pic for you so you don't have to do all the work to then possibly decide against it. All in all, this is your project, do what you prefer. Spoiler I was thinking of it as a CD so hard I forgot they're map names, not song names, lol 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Pixel Fiend Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) @TheEvilGrin Oh yeah. Thank you. It's one of those few wads that I typed in to my map database at the beginning and it had quite a few typos. @BMWAG65321 Well, it's exactly as you say, would clash with that circle. Which is why I initially skipped the numbers but that makes the list less useful because you can't look at it and just enter a specific map by number. I've tried all those, even uploaded one at the bottom of the previous page. I'll be skiping doing the flip page of the front cover for now unless you donate some good screenshots to use. Pixel Fiend Posted December 9, 2020 (edited) PRINTABLE COVER 2 EVITERNITY (2018) Edited December 11, 2020 by <<Rewind 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
ReaperAA Posted December 9, 2020 (edited) @<<Rewind These covers are really cool to a point where I wish there were actual retail discs with these covers. I have a small suggestion for the current Eviternity back cover. Like Gez mentioned a couple pages ago, I think when the level names are short, it is better to split the names on two columns as it may result in better use of the available dark circular space. Edited December 9, 2020 by ReaperAA 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Nevander Posted December 9, 2020 It might look better too if you are using map numbers, left align the columns. If there's no numbers, centered. One minor nitpick, I know maps 31 and 32 come after 15 if you are getting the secret levels, but for a full map list like this it would make more sense to put them after 30. With the numbering, it's strange to see 15 and then suddenly 31 and 32. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted December 9, 2020 Here's a quick mockup done by butchering the image above and eyeballing things, but just to give an idea of the two-column layout: Also put the secret levels apart from the rest. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
BMWAG65321 Posted December 9, 2020 @Gez That's a fantastic solution. I think it looks better and pleases Nevander [31 and 32 after 30] and I [31 and 32 after 15] as it can be read either way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I really, really hope the answer is yes Maybe on a compilation CD cover for single-map wads. It will consist of 30 single map wads. They will be ordered like map names. The order may result from having those wads put into numbered folders. I don't know if it's possible to make a compilation megawad. Anyway, there's 30 single map wads. I'd like it if you suggest something more. Feel free to suggest if it's suitable as an intro, outro or something in the middle. Edited July 22, 2021 by game 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
