Hello friends, I'm Bear, and this is the thread where I'll drop links for the various projects I've been working on. I have spend the majority of my life playing "Boomer Shooters" and have always preferred them to more modern games. I just never believed that there was much of a niche for these games in Youtube or Twitch until I started discovering that there was a thriving community for Doom and other classic FPS games. After seeing how successful channels like decino were on Youtube I felt reassured that making my own content wouldn't just end up as uploads with no audience. 

 

I will try to consolidate as much as possible so expect to see a lot of playlists instead of individual video uploads.

Crumpets - Played Sep 2020 - Oct 2020

The Crumpets playthrough is a little experimental. I didn't know exactly how I wanted to go about creating these videos. From episode to episode you will see me adding new elements in and dropping other elements. The first few episodes I don't have any background music in the intro while later on I start to introduce it. Many episodes in this collection are breakdowns of each map with a singular successful run at the end. I may come back to this concept later on but I ended up dropping this idea in later series. A nice beginning to discovering my style.

 

 

Tangerine Nightmare - Played Oct 2020/Halloween Special

Designed to be my Halloween special, Tangerine Nightmare was originally scheduled to release daily for 10 days leading up to Halloween. On Halloween night I was going to drop the soundtrack to the wad. Unforunately my capture/editing/daily workhorse PC blew up during the latter part of this series. I scrambled and put the last 3 maps on a single episode with a janky half-working setup on my gaming PC. Most of these playthroughs are single runs with no death highlight reel and minimal editing. I attempted to do special monster voices for each episode, most of which were pretty awful.

 

 

Valiant - Currently Playing

Currently in progress, Valiant is a wad that I spend a lot of time recording for, I even recorded all of the Sawdust cut content. Recording happened around the same time the old PC blew up, so progress  has slowed on this series. When the new PC was built I started recording for the next series. That combined with some personal issues caused me to delay some of the release schedule for Valiant but I suspect as December comes and goes we will see this pick up speed again and continue going into January. Everything is already recorded so it's a matter of editing now.
