Slade's "remove unused patches/textures/flats" function removing frames from animated textures.

punch you in the face man

Question

So I'm using OTEX in a level and want to remove all the unused assets to reduce file size. Slade 3 has an automated function to do this by clicking Archive->Maintenance->Remove Unused Patches/Textures/Flats. Using this also removes any textures required for animation (switches, liquids, teleporters, etc.). Is there any easy way to exclude these or do I have to manually select which textures to keep? I'd hate to miss one or two and have a broken animation in my level.

Yeah, you have to manually untick them. Or you can make a small map with a special slot name like TEXMAP or something where you put walls and sectors with every frame of animations and switches, and the skies and whatever other texture you want to keep because they're used in a non-trivial manner (maybe changed by scripts or something) so they will count as being used at least once and will not appear on the list of unused textures and flats anymore.
