The Preface:
Hello, I am making a Doom II map in the 'Boom: Doom 2 (Doom Format)' using GZDoom Builder 2. I decided to use a texture pack for this map so I tried IDTEX Texture Pack. For those who don't know, it is a texture pack of Alpha Doom and Console Doom textures that was converted by Samuel Villarreal & Emil Brundage. It was also Romero who graced us with these unused textures so big thanks to him.
I like the pack but I have had some issues with some of the wall textures. First let me preface this by saying how I got to this issue. When I downloaded the pack not all of the textures were picked up by GZDoom Builder 2. The flats were there but the textures were not showing up.
When looking at the pack in SLADE3 I noticed that the textures had a P_START and a P_END at the start and end of the textures. I assumed this to be the issue so I deleted P_START and P_END. They still weren't showing up so I also added the textures to the TEXTUREx. When it asked to create texture definitions I chose 'Import from Base Resource Archive'. I also went ahead and added the flats and textures to the Patch Table.
The textures are now showing up fine and I can use them without an issue. I was getting an error when trying to play my map in PrBoom+ but when I added the flats to the patch table I was able to play my map.
The Issue:
The textures show up in GZDoom Builder 2 and I can even play my map in PrBoom+. I now have another issue that has popped up. Some of the wall textures are broken. I have some screenshots to help describe the problem.
Exhibit A:
This is an image of the 3d camera in GZDoom Builder 2. You see how the door texture on the left and the machine on the right look normal? It is a completely different story in-game.
Exhibit B:
This is an image from within PrBoom+. You notice now how the textures seem cut off? I am not sure why this is happening but not all of the wall textures do this. I thought it may have been a source port issue so I tried other ports like Odamex, Zandronum, Zdaemon, Eternity and GZDoom.
Each source port had the same texture problem except for Zandronum, Eternity and GZDoom.
I'm not too sure what is going on and would greatly appreciate help in this matter.
