How to make a WAD file in Doom Builder 2 not reliant on resources, so that it can be run independently?

sami0505

Question

Just the same way that you can put the DOOM.WAD in the GZdoom folder and run GZdoom without doing anything else. When I run Map_01.WAD it runs the resource, and if i remove the resource from the folder, so that it wouldn't run it, I can't run Map_01.

Edit: Also, because I've run out of of posts per day, I have to write this as an edit, so I can only pray you'll get a notif when I tag you (;¬_¬). Is it possible to make an existing WAD an IWAD? @Kappes Buur Also thanks for the help. I had seen the term IWAD being thrown around, but just now did I learn what it was. Thanks in advance if you reply, and if you don't that's also fine.

Use the pk3 file structure and stick your wad file into the maps folder, just like in the template.

Of course, if you used other custom resources such as texture, flats, sounds, then you have to paste them into the specific folders, as described here.
