What is your favorite level or megawad based on a movie or game?
My favorite is Metro 2044 redux. Based on Metro 2033 redux.

Yeah, that's fair enough. I was just venting on this thread when in actuality it is more original than most of the others. Sorry about that @Triloguy.

Hey come on guys, this one is, at least, a little bit more original.

I have seen a lot of ''your favourite...'' threads, but i never knew there was maps based on films or games, aside from the obvious ones.

So this may come as enlightening in some way, let the kid feel comfortable and learn how to socialize here.

If the moderator think there needs something to moderate, something will be done.

 

Also, i completely forgot Spaceballs was a movie, i thought it was a self referencing joke of the Doomer Boards.

Now i have something to watch and laugh this weekend night ;)

Osiris is an awesome classic partial conversion (even though it says total conversion, unfortunately it's not) that is loosely based on the movie Stargate.

I like TNT: Revilution MAP20 (Portal Facility), which is apparently based on Event Horizon, a sci-fi horror movie from 1997. Not sure if it's really intentionally based on that, but for me there's a big resemblance.

Playing Fistful of Doom is a deeply nostalgic experience for me, since it’s one of the very first Doom mods I ever played. And also Fistful of Dollars is a great movie

This was indeed intentional. I’m surprised the wiki article doesn’t say as much, to be honest, as I was pretty upfront about the inspiration!

 

 My answer to this is going to mirror @xvertigox - what he did with the Spaceballs theme was awesome, and the team smashed it with the level set. His previous space-themed DBP, Alone, is also a decent contender, with the first level (by vertigo) evoking that creepy “this base isn’t as dead as it looks” feeling from AvP games incredibly well.

Minas Morgul, MAP12 of Deus Vult II. The best use of green and a great allusion to a LOTR location.
