Grosse Posted January 21, 2021 When I turn around in DOOM, a sound stops playing and it is really infuriating, the source port I use is ZDoom and my sound device is one Amazon Basics Speaker. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doomkid Posted January 22, 2021 It sounds like your speaker is only receiving the left or right channel, rather than both. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kwc Posted January 22, 2021 (edited) ^ Yeah, that sounds like it.@Grosse, if you have some kind of issue with your speakers or you in fact only have one mono speaker, I believe you should be able to type snd_speakermode "mono" in the console and all the sounds will come through. Of course you will no longer have stereo sound, but it sounds like you didn't have that to begin with. Of course, if you have two speakers and you haven't noticed this issue before, you may have to dig into your sound settings on whatever PC you have running, you very well may have the wrong configuration set up. Grosse Posted January 23, 2021 I switched to GZDoom and now sounds play much better, I added a few tweaks to remove the lagging but apparently in GZDoom, the entire screen is covered in white after collecting the invulnerability power-up. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grosse Posted January 23, 2021 I'm not talking about the negative effect, it's just the color, white behind the Heads-Up Display. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Chow Yun Thin Posted January 23, 2021 I had a similar thing with the screen whiting out after grabbing invulnerability. Options --> Display Options --> set Custom Inverse Map to On and that should make things more visible. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
