It has been happening for most of the weekend here.

 

This happens every now and then and so a thread like this will also occur every now and then.

 

It will sort itself out.

Play some Doom in the meantime.

Received a mail notice that my account was locked from invalid login attempts the same time site started having issues. The ip address given seems to coincide with a known attacker...

It was fine yesterday/last night. Just got home from work tried getting on here, and I keep getting 502's. It'll probably get sorted out.

I noticed the same issue for many hours already, with slow load times and occasional 502's. It seems a bit better now?

Doomworld appears to be undergoing a DDOS at the moment. I had to disable logins to stop the server from exploding. It's not great!

Ah so that's what's happening. I was wondering why I was getting 403'd on my desktop. I hope you can get resolved soon, Ling.

I was getting 502 Bad Gateway - HTTP requests were actually being cut off. 403 means that you couldn't authenticate or something? Might have to do with Ling disabling logins.

Well thank you for your diligence, it's greatly appreciated. I was kind of wondering if that was the issue, given the IP that @Buckshotlisted. 

 

Seems to be working quite a bit better now though. Hopefully the storm has passed.

Most of 4chan's boards are garbage, i think i've only found like 3 actually interesting non toxic threads in the entire website, but that's just my opinion, thankfully i don't really go back to it these days.

I disagree about most of 4Chan boards being garbage, the entirety of that website is a dumpster fire, and your opinion is accurate, decent threads with minimum toxicity are rare to find, civil conversation however is not so rare. Staying away and not going back is the sane thing to do.
