Lippeth Posted January 28, 2021 In the Miscellaneous options, set Disable Menu Clean Scaling to OFF. I believe the reason it defaults to on is for the classic vanilla look, by popular request. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

The Up in your face menu made me feel a bit uncomfortable the first time i saw it 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lippeth Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) No problem! If you want to retain the proper pixel ratio of the menu, text and hud, you can type "vid_setscale 1920 900 0 1.2" into the console, assuming you have a 1080p monitor (Basically divide your monitor's height by 1.2 (1080÷1.2=900) and use your normal width). Set the 0 to 1 if you want to use linear scaling. The 1.2 sets the pixel scale to the original vanilla scale, and is set to 1.0 by default. Keep in mind that you should set HUD Preserves Aspect Ratio to off in the HUD scaling options if you do this, otherwise the statusbar will be extra stretched vertically. If you have no interest in this then I apologize, but thought it could be useful in case someone else finds this thread with a similar question, or if I've got something wrong and need to be corrected.
