Do you play some maps over and over?

Do you play some maps over and over again or do you mainly just play new maps or maps you have never played before?

Playing the same maps over and over but also at the same time complaining about playing the same maps over and over and never trying anything new is literally the PVP community's reason for existence

Some IWAD maps are the only maps I replay occasionally, but otherwise, I tend to only play new stuff.

 

With how much content is out there, I don't want to get stuck playing the same thing over and over again.

Yes, mostly TNT evilution maps, more specificly map 27. The infamous Mount Pain. Why? Cuz I love it. I'm also re-playing DOOM II, Thy Flesh Consumed and SIGIL

 

Edit: basically if you love the maps or wads you're playing, you can re-play 'em as many times as you want.

Yeah as somebody who thrives off of both novelty and intimate familiarity in equal measure I find myself coming back to a few maps over and over again, ones that for whatever reason are really special to me.  Examples include Scythe 2 MAP27, RRWARD02, TNT MAP20, and a bunch of maps from Equinox and Going Down.  Oh shit and I love The Sky May Be

I find myself playing the first episode of Ultimate Doom over and over. Not sure why, I just do for some reason.

I try to play something new after finishing one WAD, but there's one map i keep replaying from time to time. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I tend to prefer exploring new content but I also like going back to familiar maps/wads I enjoy from time to time. I've probably replayed the first Scythe 15-20 times. :P

Those are the ones i replay and i tend to rotate playing all the time when i'm not playing or replaying something i don't remember playing at all.

One thing i notice since playing for soo long, is that i prefer one man mapsets. Most i listed are one man megawads.

Only one mind making a whole mapset mean that all maps has and intended progression adn storytelling behind.

I replay ducksauce, dimensions map02, the final fight of dimensions 03 and frog_and_toad map09 over and over.  Simply cannot get enough of those fights/maps.

I replay Hellrun, CastEvil, and Diopatra at least once a year and they play out differently every time.  Polygon Base and Fortdeth are two more I enjoy replaying--pretty much any sandbox styled map, if it's intricate enough in its layout and challenging enough that it takes multiple attempts to complete in a single run, will capture my permanent interest.

Not really. Except for Icarus: Alien Vanguard which I play almost every month. I also often return to TNT, to play the 3 Drake O'Brien levels as a sort of trilogy.

Yes, I play through Eternal Doom once a year. Otherwise I spend my Doom time discovering new wads.

Yeah, I replay Sunder, Scythe 2, and Plutonia 2 quite a bit. I think I've played through Sunder at least 10 times now, which is a lot for a wad of that size.

I replay Plutonia quite often. Sunlust MAP32 is another go-to for a nice break.
