Something needs to be done with the BFG in DM.

This is honestly just a little rant. I hate the BFG sometimes. DM can often feel like a game of spawn trap. I hate it, it takes no skill. I want a DM server that doesn't have the BFG. I hate spawning and going up against someone with a BFG, there's nothing you can do expect die. it also feels like some people can shoot the BFG really fast and skip the loading time, idk what's up with that. I just get so sick of it, it takes away the fun IMO. This is probably a controversial topic also. i get it, it's fun to use but everyone hates dying from it.

Such is life. That's one reason I'm Bourgeois DM we decided to make the BFG require more cells, to cut down on spam. Find some other maps that either don't have it or it is less easy to access

Pretty much what Decay said.

Also if you get killed by a player holding the BFG, don't spawn immediately. Wait for them to at least have their back turned.

And if when someone fires a BFG at you, you can always try and run behind them. ~ The BFG won't hurt you unless it hits you or a wall in front of you. Remember that the BFG's projectile must be in the other players line of sight in order to do damage to you. It can be avoided..

yeah its very hard to use in duels but op on dm but the thing is maps that doesnt have it die just like maps that doesnt have the ssg

i dont know what the name of the map is but i remenber one where theres a lift with the bfg and behind it is a button to lower it to get it everybody goes to the button but its way more usefull if you use it to bait people into your ssg since the map is  kinda small anyway you wont be killing everybody with one bfg shot

thats a cool way to use it but i hate when maps have a spawn inside the bfg thats just bullshit

You can also kill him before he tries to cheese you, even if you can't see what weapon he is holding.
The best weapons that can kill him are the ssg and plasma rifle.
