How do I change the sky independent of the level number

Question

I'm wondering if there are any tutorials on how to change the sky in a level independent of the level number. I'm using doom 2 as a resource and I want to change it to the city sky. I also have Slade3 if that's necessary.

depends on what port are you aiming your mapset to be played.

 

-On vanilla/chocolate doom, the sky usage is hardcoded to change at map12 and map21.

-Crispy Doom can use MBF sky transfer, but that needs to be defined during the creation of the map, i think...

-PrBoom+ let you use the MBF sky transfer feature on any map if you designed them that way.

 

Otherwise you can use a source port that is compatible with UMAPINFO / MAPINFO and change them also map per map with just writing it with SLADE.
