You'll need to obtain a Doom GBA ROM file (I don't necessarily condone piracy) and apply the xDelta onto the ROM using this web patcher I probably should of explained this in the OP, hehe 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

DoomGuyUltraGodMode Posted August 15, 2021 Hello! I patched all five episodes to the first Doom game on the gba, but I have a question. Each episode is it's own separate .gba file, so I was wondering if there was a way to merge all 5 episodes into one gba file game or is it just supposed to be like that? And if so, do they play one after the other or I have to select it after a finish an episode? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

There's unfortunately no way to merge them together, as I had to use some special effects/replace some sprites in each episode which wouldn't allow the ability to merge them into a singular ROM. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ah ok, thanks for telling me. Now I'll just play it as is then. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I also heard the FBI arrested people for home-brewing the switch, so it's not really safe. You will also potentially get your account deleted if online. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

That was about Team Executor, which was a shady hacking group anyways. But regular people shouldn't be worried because the most you're doing is breaking the TOS which isn't really illegal in most countries. 3 hours ago, RetroAkaMe said: You will also potentially get your account deleted if online. Unless you're using hacks/cheats in online games or using legit CIA's, you can't really get caught. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DoomGuyUltraGodMode Posted August 27, 2021 Will there an enhancement for Doom II GBA? I'm not sure if this was already mentioned in this or the other 32x project or not, since it would be another project of course. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Teo Slayer Posted August 31, 2021 Explain this abomination over there, why is the acid still there? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wavy Posted August 31, 2021 Just now, Teo Slayer said: Explain this abomination over there, why is the acid still there? It's due to wierdness with the "Raise Floor and Change Texture" linedef action in GBA Doom. It seems to not like animated floors, so it doesn't change. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Wavy Posted November 21, 2021 11 minutes ago, V.I.D.E.O. Files Entertain said: i can't import the edited one to the file. could you help? Ah. I forgot. You need to replace the original COLORMAP lump with the new one directly in HxD. Here's a ZIP that contains the new COLORMAP lump: COLORMAP.zip Dump the original COLORMAP lump data from the ROM (you can use the GBA Doom editor to extract the lump) then open up HxD and open your ROM and the extracted COLORMAP lump in there. Use the Search tool using "Hex-values" and paste the hex data of the original COLORMAP lump into that. That should find and select all of the hex values in the ROM for the COLORMAP. Now open the my new COLORMAP lump into HxD, copy all the hex data and paste it over the original data in the ROM. If done right, the ROM itself shouldn't change size and should be able to boot properly. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Are you sure you're pasting the COLORMAP I attached over the original one in the ROM? I'm asking as you've might of pasted the original COLORMAP over itself, which is why it isn't changing. Teo Slayer Posted November 22, 2021 Hello there, I just want to ask if there's a way to make the sound effects more quiet. They literally kill my ears 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wavy Posted November 22, 2021 4 hours ago, Teo Slayer said: Hello there, I just want to ask if there's a way to make the sound effects more quiet. They literally kill my ears Nope. In GBA Doom it's either on or off. Though, I did experiment with the pistol by exportiing the PC sound and converting it to a 8000hz WAV, which I think sounds less grating (if you compare it to vanilla GBA Doom, you can tell). My only recommendation is to just turn down the volume in the emulator. After all, the ear-gratiness could just be due to the low quality nature of the sounds. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Kippykip Posted October 17, 2022 Ayo? This is pretty cool! Although I can't stand the original retail GBA Doom engine myself and just resort to the PrBoom GBA port.
