Koko Ricky Posted March 2, 2021 (edited) Limit removing mod, though if you want to hear the music you'll need to use an mp3-friendly port. Would love some feedback! This has been in the works for quite some time. I really wanted this one to shine, so it's full of exploration, secrets and puzzles, but it's also hopefully intuitive and fun. https://www.moddb.com/engines/doom-engine/downloads/uac-m4 Edited March 2, 2021 by GoatLord 6 Quote Share this post Link to post
PeceMan Posted March 2, 2021 It's a really cool level. Your use of textures is great! The secrets are all nice. The music reminds me a bit of shadow the hedgehog. A bit too much health, and a bit not enough ammo, but just a bit. Also, some of your damaging floors don't actually harm, the ones below bridges. Maybe this was necessary, to ensure bridges work properly? One of the monster closets didn't open properly, one with teleporting lost souls, besides the bathroom. I'd say, overall, you get a 9,4/10. That was a lot of fun, and looked great. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I'm an old school Sonic fan, so I'm not at all familiar most of the later games. I checked out STH's theme and I can see what you mean. My music definitely has that industrial rock leaning. 5 hours ago, PeceMan said: A bit too much health, and a bit not enough ammo, but just a bit. Interesting. I struggle a lot with trying to find a good balance when placing resources because I try to play the map many different ways to account for different play styles. Hopefully my later maps won't have this issue. 5 hours ago, PeceMan said: Also, some of your damaging floors don't actually harm, the ones below bridges. Maybe this was necessary, to ensure bridges work properly? Right, there didn't seem to be any way to have a functional bridge that only damaged on the bottom. Maybe there's some DeHacked workaround or something, but I wasn't interested in that so much as trying to operate pretty strictly with the base engine, minus the limit removing and music. 5 hours ago, PeceMan said: One of the monster closets didn't open properly, one with teleporting lost souls, besides the bathroom. This should be the final version. Glad you liked the map as well, as "a lot of fun" and "looked great" are exactly what I'm aiming for. I'm also hoping people enjoy the music. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
