chamvl Posted March 11, 2021 Hello, I have been having problems with glboom/prboom. When I move my mouse around it stutters. I don't know why it does this, I have v-sync on which seems to effect the problem but others that I see with vsync do not have the same problem. Anyone else with the same problem? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
P41R47 Posted March 11, 2021 That strange, could you give some more aspects of your PC and more of your configuration? Like, resolution, capped or uncapped frame rate, game speed set 100 or not. That would help us to insolate the problem easily. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Pretty average PC, I can't really name everything about it but it can run high end games fine. 1920x1080 resolution Uncapped Framerate 100 Game speed ZIP file contains my glboom settings. temp.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
P41R47 Posted March 11, 2021 For certain all seems to be fine, its rather strange. :/ If you can play high end games just fine it should run PrBoom+/GlBoom+ without problem. I have a really old PC and i can run it with no problem at all. do you have something running on the back? Like Steam or other programs that may be tasking for the pC? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I'll try and close some of these back round apps and tell you if it does me any good. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
maxmanium Posted March 11, 2021 Are you using the devbuilds posted from the UMAPINFO fork? They're debug builds which have worse performance. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Shepardus Posted March 12, 2021 What version are you using? If you happen to be using 2.5.1.4, try a newer version that uses SDL 2 rather than SDL 1, such as 2.6um. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I just checked and it hasn't been updated since 2013 so I'm assuming that this is outdated and I should get this off a different site. Very unfortunate that the sourceforge version is the first one that shows up on google. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

That hasn't been the case since July 2020. Edited March 21, 2021 by Never_Again 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
