Taurus Daggerknight Posted March 12, 2021 Couple of questions about the Doom 3 version that just went up on Game Pass: 1) Is it the standard, or BFG edition? 2) Would it work with any of the co-op mods, and if so, which ones would you all recommend? I'm mostly looking to try starting a co-op of the original campaign with my wife (we just re-watched Event Horizon, and it's got us keen, but my original D3 discs are no longer on hand). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Azuris Posted March 12, 2021 Guessing from the Title Picture it is the BFG Edition. I think they only sell the original Doom 3 on Steam (was hoping to see a Gog Release) Quote https://scr.wfcdn.de/16456/Xbox-Game-Pass-1615540300-0-12.jpg Since i couldn't accsess the "Appfolder" from the Gamepass i am not sure how open it is for Modifications. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Eyef Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Doom (2019) from GamePass is not a BFG edition. This is a stripped down version. It doesn't have doom1/doom2, no multiplayer for doom3, no 3D support (oculus, anaglyph, stereopair, etc.) and you need to sign in with a bethesda account. Also in this version, the interface of the main menu has been changed and icons for the xbox one, ps4 and nintendo switch controllers have been added. But the version of the game engine is the same as in BFG Edition. The flashlight is the same. Also, there is no mod support. However, this version does not seem to check the *.resources crc files, unlike the Steam version. Edited June 14, 2023 by Eyef 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
