Question about the HUD in GZDoomOpenVR

I finally got a VR headset after years of wanting one.  I got it mainly to play VR Doom and other old school games.  I've been having a blast with it using this particular VR source port:

But I have one issue with the HUD following my view when I turn my head left and right.  The HUD stays in place if I look up and down but follows my head left and right.  I have tried the settings to lock and unlock the HUD pitch and roll in the menus, but neither of those stop this issue, is there a setting I am missing somewhere?  The reason this is an issue is because the HUD extends to the map and menus as well, which makes it difficult to see anything on the left and right edges of the view.  This makes the stbar, the map, and the menus kind of a pain in the ass to deal with visually.  Any help would be appreciated.
