igg Posted March 25, 2021 According to the lore the only way to enter Immora is by the Gate of Divum. The Dark Lord was able to travel there directly from Urdak. An army of sentinels arrived on Immora a few minutes after the Slayer. I don't think they traveled to Earth before. Any ideas? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
MrHofmann Posted March 25, 2021 Sentinel Prime and Mars core are connected through a slipgate. If it is a two way slipgate... But then how would all those battleships fit through Gate of Divum or Mars core slipgate? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Taurus Daggerknight Posted March 25, 2021 Was wondering about that back in the impressions thread myself. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, in a plot filled with such gaping holes. Someone else also pointed out how weird it is that the Sentinels are all following THE BETRAYER, who they have zero reason to rally behind. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Maybe Valen the Betrayer is only capable leader and veteran left. Rest of army is just rookies or elders. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

A veteran who got a whole cadre of his brothers in arms killed/ damned to hell because he thought his loss was bigger than everyone else's, yeah. Just saying; that tag was earned, so for everyone to just shrug it off after he directly led to the creation of the Icon of Sin in ages past is a bit funny. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
RaikohZX Posted March 25, 2021 It kind of almost completely invalidates the whole first two levels of the DLC if everyone else could casually warp in after the Slayer had to jump through those hurdles. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

Zemini Posted March 25, 2021 If I had to guess, we will find out with a Betrayer/Valen side story campaign. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

You start having nightmares of your son getting tortured in Hell for months upon end and try saying that again with 100% conviction. It'd probably be harder than you think. Valen wasn't actually kicked out of the Sentinels, it was shame and self-exile. His codex says as much, not to mention his first line in Exultia is: "*I* told you all to leave me here. I am where I belong..." That line also makes me feel Sentinels have tried bringing him back, quite recently even. I think he's actually still revered by them despite what he did (or more realistically, opinion on him is mixed). And even if not, it was probably necessity. When *the Dark Lord of Hell* has been ressurected into physical form and your people are scattered, you'd probably put aside your pride and follow the legendary commander who fell from grace to help you win that fight. Existance on the line and all. Moreover, helping put Davoth in his place is his penance and chance to redeem himself. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
omx32x Posted June 12, 2021 in a interview hugo said that this was a mistake he wanted to make a cool battle scene but he didnt though that it didnt make sense so yea the answer is that there is no answer not yet anyway maybe they will give and explanation on the next game but for now we have nothing 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
D4NUK1 Posted June 12, 2021 Head Cannon: The slayer fixed the connections with opening the World Spear, and linking that with the Slipgate in Reclamed Earth. Comander Valen with the team of Sentinels in the World Spear, accumulated and prepared once the Slayer opened the gates to Inmora. To help in battle. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
oCrapaCreeper Posted June 13, 2021 (edited) My headcanon is the sentinels can warp where ever the Slayer is, since he was a commander and king for them at one point who led them in battle. They couldn't get to Immora otherwise until the Slayer made it. Make that light on his suit's chest glow before the portals open for more dramatic effect. Cantleylads Posted June 17, 2021 Unfortunately it's just a very flawed) story that isn't quite fleshed out as much as it ought to be. I'm still invested in it but honestly I think it's best to take it all at face value where possible. It's bittersweet going through all the lore entries of both games because it just doesn't hold up so well by TAG. Dropped the ball hard with TAG2 especially. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
