I have played through the enhanced version of this great WAD, that is an amazing difficulty increase; and in fact I have even lost twice! Amazing work, I like it even more now :)

A really entertaining map, with an extremely interesting challenge, the truth is that this map was quite long than I was waiting for, but that anyway I got to test to see if I had not yet lost my touch when playing in this map class. The structure it has is really good, there are areas that are quite variable, and they do not remain in a single aspect, which is quite good, because the architecture that is used in each place on the map is very well done, having high places and low, and having all kinds of harmful soils, and also many traps that are mostly interesting, etc. The battles are not far behind either, as this map features many very interesting, and dangerous clashes, for example, finding 3 Cyberdemons throughout the map, finding many annoying Pain Elementals, finding quite a few invisible Pinkys walking from here to there, and the Hitscanners as always annoying the Marine with draining his health with shots, that is why the fighting also stands out here. In general, everything seemed really entertaining to me, to be exterminating all those demons in a place that is quite varied in each area that is visited, and also because of the curious and interesting things that you get to find apart from the enemies, and then have confrontations Hard with dangerous creatures in toxic soils, all of that was very entertaining to me as I said before, and I had a great time here, so, great job with this map, buddy, and it was a pleasure to have tested this map without any inconvenience.

 

 

Thanks so much for playing again and spending time in writting this long review. I'm glad you find variety on my maps, that's my goal. I alwyas try to create different combat situations in different looking arenas but inside the theme of the map. This WAD was a rollercoaster to make, I started on summer 2020 but abandoned the project for a looong time, until I created this account and uploaded Initiation Temple. The fact that many of you enjoyed my first map gave me enough motivation to keep working on Omega Fortress! even today I've been updating it to make it harder, as most players suggested. I hope to bring more interesting WADS. If you wan't to recommend me some WAD let me know.

Awesome! You played on Ultra and only died 2 times? wow, The first time I tested this V.1.5 on ultra I died 4 times xD some parts are sadistic but I like it. It reminds me of how I suffered with Plutonia Experiment. Some minutes ago I managed to complete it on ultraviolence without deaths/saves. I was sweating blood!

 

Glad to see you enjoy this project. It took me very long to make this map, so thanks for playing.

I think it's great everything you have told me through what this map had to go through and then turn out to be something extremely amazing, despite the fact that you left it for a while, just knowing that the good review of your first map will motivate you To return back to the Omega Fortress mapping is something very good companion, I am really happy for you, and for the creativity you have had to make this map a reality.

 

And of course, if I have ideas so that you can take them into account in a map that you are going to create, I will let you know in a private message, do not worry partner.

I've only been here a week, and the only wad of my own I have is a silly attempt to improve Habitat. It's around this forum, if you want to take a look at my reasoning.

I played your habitat remix yesterday, I havent played the original in a while but it seems you made it more compact isn't it? This time It didn't take me too long to find the secrets and also the elevator in the sludge area seems more accesible. Nice work on that

What I meant is that you can recommend me some WAD to play, whether it is your creation or any WAD out there I should try. But sure you can also give me feedback to help me improve!

Thank you! I think we should move the discussion of that project to its thread, though.

I liked the walls opening effect, too, but found it more annoying than impressive as implemented. So I moved it somewhere it feels more appropriate, and hopefully improved it a little so it's harder to get stuck.

Thanks for spotting those misaligned textures in the tunnels. I haven't changed anything about the lighting on purpose, but thanks for spotting the misaligned floor/ceiling textures. No idea how I missed those!

Ah, now I understand everything, hahaha, it's fine mate, if I find really good maps, and not so much extreme killing, I'll let you know in the same way by Private, since I don't like saturating threads with this kind of things every moment, heh
