As a native, the quote itself doesn't come across as racist to me at all. It's merely a pun on "dinghy/dingy" (i.e; his penis).

 

That said, the character of Lo Wang in general, it's pretty definitely racist in more than a few ways. This version of him would not fly in today's world, hence why they reworked him pretty significantly for the reboot.

 

But then again, people get offended at every little thing nowadays, and there's also elements that portray him strongly. I remember someone once making an ironic point that instead of blasting it as sinful, religious groups should've loved Doom, as you're literally going into Hell and killing all the demons.

Basically just me saying "Yeah, he's stereotypical, but he's not a pure stereotype," and then using a Doom analogy to show that religious groups who thought the game was sinful and evil should've actually been praising it since the game's premise is "a Marine taking on and killing the forces of Hell" as basically an example of that people don't pay attention to every aspect of something, often just the negatively perceived ones.

 

Everybody remembers Lassie rescuing Timmy. Nobody points out how Timmy is a fucking idiot with poor judgmental skills and that the parents are so neglectful their dog has to save the day to keep Child Protection away.

It's kind of trivializing the concept of demons to make them flesh-and-blood monsters that can be fought with literal weapons.
