Skronkidonk Posted April 6, 2021 This may sound really weird and probably isn't the right place to post this, but how do I make it where the plasma rifle sound of the ball impacting an enemy, overlap the actual sound of it shooting. I didn't explain it well so I have a video clip link here since the file size was to large. If you understand what I mean then let me know if I can change it because it sounds so satisfying. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doomkid Posted April 6, 2021 (edited) This is a result of limiting the number of simultaneous sound effects. What port are you using? Some may have gotten rid of this option, but I think most ports retain it. Edited April 6, 2021 by Doomkid 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
boris Posted April 6, 2021 The vanilla behavior is that each actor can only play one sound. Starting a new sound will stop the previous sound. When the plasma ball spawns it plays the firing sound, when it collides with something it plays its death sound. So when it spawns and immediately collides with something the firing sound will be "overwritten" immediately. GZDoom changes that behaviour.
