8th Doomversary- AMA edition

So April 7th will mark my 8th year since I posted my first DOOM WAD Review to YouTube. A lot's happened in that time- I've met lots of cool people, I've learned how to map, and I'm in a better place than I'd ever imagined myself being in at 17. So, tomorrow I plan to stream some good old fashioned mapping- and I'd love to talk with you guys about the Doom journey- not just mine, but yours as well! Did the output of the community inspire you to make your own maps right away, or did it develop over time and you started making your own later on as you made your old WAD review videos?

Out of all the military ranks, such as sergeant, captain, and even general, was there a particular reason to choose "Major"? Or, is it not a rank, but just an adjective?

Has what you consider to be a "good" map changed since your first video reviews? Are your tastes fundamentally the same as they've ever been, or do you appreciate maps today that you would have previously disliked (or vice versa)?

As a job that is affected by events of all sorts throughout the year, is it a particularly demanding one? And has becoming part of the writing staff changed your perspective on the awards?

Crap, I got some RPG characters older than you!

 

Meet Gibbelicious.   She's about 20, likes to explode people, and can almost legally buy alcohol.   She won't make any Doom maps though.

Heh, I'm 25 and well-versed on alcoholic beverages AND can map ;p she's cute though.
