This level is full of so much amazing Doomcute! I love the paintings and the corporate art.

Made my first pieces of furniture today for my first wad. This is my unfinished room (I have a bunk bed all to myself (top bunk of course)). Just like in real life, the ugly board stuck on the top mirrors the actual one I have to place to keep myself from rolling off and waking on the floor. Another of my more complex pieces is a sewing table. I don’t sew at all. In real life, the “foot board” meant for the sewing machine pedal is stocked with comics, Pokémon cards, a few random action figures, math handbooks, and my game program books/notes. Will add more details to both of them (both the bed, bed stairs, and table have drawers) once it’s custom texture time

My bad attempt at making a carousel in Doom, those are supposed to be two horses on a rotating carousel, which obviously can't be done in Vanilla Doom. This is based from Resident Evil: Code Veronica when you get to the top hidden room in the Private Residence, and solving the puzzle with the carousel gets you to another hidden room above, giving you access to the final key item needed to escape the island.

It's possible, you'd have use mid-texture horses and set the texture to scroll horizontally

The trouble with that implementation is that it'd be hell to make it 2 sided I think. From my understanding inside and outside facing sidedefs would scroll left, so it'd be going in opposite directions if you could walk inside. And you couldn't see the back half's inside and front half's outside without the same problem. The horses would all need to move to the camera's left, so you'd need to block the view of the back half to sell the appearance of them moving in a circular manner (IE the rear row would be doing the opposite direction). 

 

The workaround of making textures scroll right in vanilla is a bitch, and you'd need to do this to either the outward or inward facing part of the ring so the horses appear to move properly. It might not be doable in this case, I'm sure more vanilla savvy mappers can chime in.

 

Or otherwise it might require custom animated textures but that'd also be a ton of work and I'm not sure about the relevant limitations. If you use Boom then it's trivial though since scrolling has more options. All this and you'd still only get a flat 2D wall forming the ring of course.

Did this today. Will add a bench later, but you can see things better without it there anyways.

That skateboard is great! I didn't catch it at first either, but found it while browsing through the textures in the wad.  It has a FIREBLU pattern underneath!

I could totally see the second map following on from this having a meticulously detailed skate shop with radical undersides for each and every board - but it's just a closet that you casually pop into to blow away all of two shotgunners.
