Wow, this is really neat! All those custom sprites make me think of an alternate universe zekhmet.

Stuff like this goes over into Super Sonic Doom as well. The Sunset Forest zone has neat treehouses in the first act, while Forest Fortress act 2 has lots of stuff that looks like storage just all around it. Then there's the Ocean City Zone to consider. The Ultimate Doomer really does love realism and so do I, which is why I love his works.

This is post is pretty much the reason to fall in love with you and The Ultimate Doomer.

Back in 1999 I made a map with offices (desks, chairs, cabinets), bathrooms (sinks, toilets), and barracks (beds).

 

In the same year I made a map of a church, complete with pews and altar; outside was a cemetery with gravestones.

 

I can't stand the sight of that ugliness any more.

No. It was complex.wad (Military Research Complex). Mostly forgettable, although it was considered one of the spatially largest maps of the time.

Not really vanilla compatible because they need a high quantity of linedefs but doom compatible thanks to the stock textures. :)

Yes, I had a few of 'em in these projects. I did contribute to a couple recent ones including Tomatomania! and Luminous Gloom. Always love how chock full of those bits of realism they've had throughout their activity.

Here's a tiny apartment I made for fun about a month ago. I was just messing around in Doom Builder after making my map for the We Draw It, We Map It community map pack. @Lizardcommando What you do is fill most of the walls with monster closets, mostly acting like turrets as they open.

 

Interaction or approaching objects like toilets, chairs, bookcases etc open them.

 

Only one object opens the door out and when you leave, it turns all closets into single action crushers to eliminate the remaining monsters.

 

Then you enter the hallway with painting and furniture etc, it happens again. Make it to the lobby, again!

That's the great thing about Doomcute stuff.

 

Even if you never knew about it through the Doom community or playing Wads, it's something that you would discover organically when making a map for the first time. It would happen regardless of foreknowledge and I always thought it blended into Doom far better than sprite furniture etc.

I don't think that I'd have the time to manage two separate accounts, but I'll definitely try to post more DoomCute to that account in the future :)

The monorail car. You can't really do inside the tunnel in normal game though in the final version.
