Getting the red key in Doom 2 MAP15 on Nintendo Switch

Is it just me or did it somehow become much harder to get that red key in Doom 2 MAP15? I swear, I never had this much trouble trying to run across those crates to get to that red key. I don't think I even had this much trouble to get the red key in the original XBox port for Doom 2. Do I need to strafe run just right to get that red key?

It's been a while since I played the Switch port, but if I remember correctly I had some issue with this too. 

AFAIK though, I think the strafe-run way is a shortcut/cheese and there's a 'proper' way to teleport there.

Also, I played it on Skill 3, I think red key is the same on all difficulties but I'm not sure.

I'll try to remember to check this later.
