MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai Posted April 17, 2021 I´m not sure if I´m posting this in right section, but would anyone of you happen to know how to enable level names (when using automap) and new intermission text (instead of vanila Doom II)? Those mapsets, along the third part of the trilogy, Requiem, doesn't have dehacked patches, so they doesn't show the map names on automap. If you look back to when they were made, most of the mappers from the Memento Mori Crew worked on Requiem, too, along a few new mappers. And since, aesthetically wise, is similar to the previous entry, and Requiem means a Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead, and Memento Mori mean ''remember that you will die'', Requiem may count as the last part of the serie of Death related mapsets, starting with Memento Mori I. It is saw as this by some members of the forum, and as a stand alone mapsets by others. MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai Posted April 17, 2021 (edited) @P41R47 Hmm, I do have some problem with MementoMoriSB.wad when I try to start it with MMUS.wad in doom retro it crashes and in eternity engine it loads doom II levels instead? It's not really, but some of the people who worked on it were involved with Momento Mori 1 & 2. It was made during a time when the common consensus was that Doom was on its last legs due to games like Quake etc. This was in the late 90's to early 2000's if I remember correctly. Hence the name 'Requiem'. Just like Momento Mori's latin translating to "remember you will die". Which in itself comes from an old Roman story relating to a victorious commander returning from a successful campaign and hiring someone, usually a plebeian, to humble him with those words as he walked through cheering crowds. The idea was to keep the commanders ego in check. It's a shame we no longer practice that in the west heh. In my opinion it's separate from MM 1 & 2, some of the same people worked on it but with a different stroke. But as @P41R47 pointed out some people see it as a continuation of MM 1 & 2. To be honest it's a wonder I type anything coherent at all. I can't play Doom Wads or games, or do anything really. So I just sit here zoning out for most of the day. 2 weeks down, 2 more to go. Aside from the already published Status Bars on Three's a Crowd, 25 Years on Earth and CPD, i didn't release any other status bar soo far. But yes, i should make a post with all the designs i made before something happends to my PC :S EDIT: there is one more, the one you already know that wasn't accepted for Hellevator.
