Chow Yun Thin Posted August 28, 2014 I registered under this name because I liked playing as the Heavy Weapons Guy when TFC was popular. I even used the preset avatar of the HWGuy as my own. Two years after, I changed my online handle to Chow Yun Thin and stuck with it since. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doomkid Posted August 28, 2014 TFC was such an awesome game... I have fond memories with that one. Krispy said:It means "penis" in Finnish. LOL. Gives a whole new meaning to Krispy Kreme. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dreadopp Posted August 28, 2014 I have no clue. :P I've had this name for as long as I can remember. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
doom_is_great Posted August 28, 2014 Mine means exactly what it says. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NiTROACTiVE Posted August 28, 2014 The word NiTRO, in my user name is based on an extremely explosive chemical named nitroglycerin, which is a pretty cool explosive to me. The word ACTiVE, in my user name is based on the word "radioactive", and we all know radioactivity can make you sick. So this basically tell that my username NiTROACTiVE means, that I'm radioactive and explosive. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Linkrulezall Posted August 28, 2014 Back in 2008 I was quite heavily into Zelda: Ocarina of Time and had just created my second YouTube account, so that's where my name came from. I've had other aliases before this one, but for some reason this is the one that stuck. The Z in rulez is simply because I think it looks and sounds better than "linkrulesall" (or maybe 11-year-old me thought it was cool, idk). And for some reason it irrationally bugs the hell out of me when people capitalize my name as LinkRulezAll (cue someone doing that just to be a smartass) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RichardDS90 Posted August 28, 2014 Nickname I got back in year 11 (11th grade to Americans) when there was a mispronouciation of my surname, I got called Salahmander one day, and it stuck since, plus I also like playing Salamander now and then. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Infirnex Posted August 30, 2014 I used to go under Supersonix07. I had it since I was like 8. After a long time I started to dislike it, probably due to the relationship with Sonic. I was a big fan of fire at the time, so I thought of using the name Inferno. It didn't really stick, since I didn't find it unique. I wanted something unique, so I decided to mash them together. Infernix was the original name but it didn't look right. Swapped two vowels around and I got Infirnex, and it has stuck since. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ledillman Posted August 31, 2014 Ledillman doesn't mean anything... I think. Anyways, I had to choose a name for my youtube account back in 2007 so this name came out of the blue and then I registered. Just a "Le" before dillman (Dill, the herb) and the french "le". Finally: "The dill man". Nice, uh? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
William Blazkowicz Posted September 1, 2014 My username is the name of the dude you play as in wolf3d. [EDIT]: Really the only reason for it is because 'DoomGuy' was taken. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dg93 Posted September 1, 2014 Mine is self explanatory.... When I registered back in 2013, I couldn't think of anything good so I picked doomguy93. The 93 is the year I was born in as well as the year Doom was born. I'm thinking about changing my name to something different, but nobody (other than the few buddies I have on Doomworld) would know who I am. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Netherstorm Posted September 2, 2014 My username is from the location in Draenor/Outland called "Netherstorm" from 'World of Warcraft'. A lot of faggots think it's from Minecraft, but...no, it isn't. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lizardcommando Posted September 2, 2014 Lizardcommando is a comic book character I made up back in high school which was than a character for some crappy Flash movies and then for a Doom mod. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cupboard Posted September 3, 2014 My name actually has no meaning. If I could do the registration process all over again, I would drop the "The" from my username and leave it as "Cupboard". When I was an early adolescent I thought that my online presence should be as flippant and unconvincing as possible, so I decided, why not name myself as a piece of furniture, something that people assume is in the background but never notice it directly. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RadTang Posted September 3, 2014 My nick comes from a mix between two of my favourite bands: Kraftwerk (and their Radioactivity album) and Tangerine Dream. I prefer the shorter version, RadTang, over RadioactiveTangerine. Earlier, I was using AmimanPL because I used to own Amiga computer (I don't remember much from my childhood) and I'm a man (oh.. that's way too obvious) and, last but not least, I come from Poland. And as for school-related nicknames, mine is Paci (from my real name). Used to be called like that in High School and it's still in use during my higher education. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Heh, and here it always made me think of some book series I read, "Indian in the Cupboard", where the cupboard was like a time portal or something. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Velvetic Posted May 27, 2015 Well, my name is Kevin, but that's boring, so i came up with the HEZ portion out of my lastname which is Sanchez and been using it since 2010. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Havoc Crow Posted May 27, 2015 Back when I was in elementary school, I overheard some kids making bad puns on Judge Dredd's name. I liked it (hey, elementary school kid), so when I made an account on GameFAQs some time later, I made my username a bad English pun on Dredd's name as well. I stuck to it ever since. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
fraggle Posted May 27, 2015 I think I heard that Doom deathmatch players chose handles with "frag" in the name to sound tough so I chose this to deliberately subvert the idea. That's the best I can recall anyway. It's been a long time now. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
