Is Doomguy (3) based on Harvey Keitel from Saturn 3?

In the movie 'Saturn 3' Harvey Keitel plays a military scientist/soldier type who wears an outfit surprisingly similar to the Doomguy's suit, and the haircut and face look almost the same. 

 

Guessing they took some influence from this?

Well, losely based on Kevin Cloud. It‘s not a virtual representation of him, like for example, Riddick in the Chronicles of Riddick game (forgot the name of the actor).

 

@Lvangundy: I see what you mean, but highly unlikely. Is the Saturn movie worth watching?

I've been grasping for straws for decent space drama/horror and I couldn't even finish watching it. Definitely hoaky acting and cheesy tense action. It was free on amazon prime.

I always saw a little bit of Guts from Berserk in him, especially with the black hair. I remember seeing photos of the id office during Doom 3's development, and someone had a Berserk wall scroll or poster hung up over their desk.

You know what's the cool part? The classic Doomguy is also based on Kevin Cloud! His arm sprites anyway :D

 

And Kevin Cloud still works at id!

I think its probably because he runs out of breath so quickly. Doom 3 marine is asthmatic.
