Music switch using MUSINFO

Question

How can I trigger music switch in a cl9 map?

I looked at how it is done in Dimensions map 3:

MUSINFO:

MAP03
1 BATTLE

where BATTLE is the midi's name.

Nothing questionable here, but the music is activated when you step on/near thing of type 14101, if you look at the map in the editor (Thing 1608). What is this? Are there other thing types which can activate music in different ways? (say, when they are getting alerted or damaged)

Those thing types trigger when you enter the sector they're in

14101 = switch to whatever is defined as #1

14102 = switch to whatever is defined as #2

etc

 

Look at Ancient Aliens map01 for another example, when you exit the teleporter tunnel the music changes.
