Rudolph Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) The video game Wrack (2014) seems to have been a letdown, but there is no denying that the Bobby Prince soundtrack is great: Since this is possibly Bobby's last contribution ever to video game music, I was wondering if someone has considered remaking it as a MIDI soundtrack, since this is the sound format that he is best known for and also it could serve as a replacement soundtrack for Classic Doom. Arrowhead Posted May 1, 2021 I don't believe anybody has, but I would be super excited if they did. I think the Wrack soundtrack would sound great as MIDI. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
continuum.mid Posted May 1, 2021 I'd do it, if only I had stronger feelings about the game and its soundtrack and I didn't already have multiple projects started. Judging by the track you linked it would translate over pretty easily. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) @northivanastan I was actually trying to link to a playlist of the whole soundtrack. I am not a musician and I do not want to pressure anyone into doing it for me, but I think it would be a nice tribute to the man and his work. Taw Tu'lki Posted May 2, 2021 Bobby Prince is one of my favourite video game composer. So, his track is so good. I like it. I wanna be like him. Make a good MIDIs and soundtracks for games. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted May 2, 2021 Another track of his that might be fun to convert to MIDI is "Doom IIV", which was his take of what theme he'd have written for Doom 3 if he'd been asked. I downloaded that from his website apparently in 2006. Doom IIV.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
printz Posted May 2, 2021 Shouldn't you get @Carnevil's approval before remaking his copyrighted music? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't have the rights to the music - Bobby kept those, so he'd be the one to ask. Pretty sure the original music is MIDI too, and just got exported to a different audio format, so if you're super lucky (or ask very nicely!) you could get the originals. Probably a longshot, but just throwing that out there. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted June 27, 2021 (edited) How did I not notice Carnevil himself responding to my thread before?!? :o @Carnevil Sweet! I do not know how to reach Bobby Prince myself, but that is good to know. Wrack might not have done very well, but I am still glad it exists, especially since it gave Bobby Prince one more opportunity to score a video game. So thank you for that!
