As far as Doom 2016/Doom Eternal go, I would love him to have a big manchild personality like in the infamous Doom comic:

Doomguy: "LALALALALALA! I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU! LALALALALA!"

 

Samuel Hayden: "Come to the VEGA terminal-"

Doomguy: "NUH-HUH! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!"

Samuel Hayden: "But you need me to-"

Doomguy: "LALALALA! I AM NOT LISTENING!"

I think the Doom comic and also brutal doom/project brutality (which is like the best part of both of those mods, and the only part that doesn't get stale) is ample material for one-liners. It just works, really.
