<sometimes one needs to pull the story a certain way in order to introduce a character properly, I don't think it's a bad thing to guess how people would commonly react>

That's some nice lawn, do you grow any crops? Mine's an absolute dumpster fire, but I plan on entirely redoing the entire backyard next year. Dunno if I should keep the old wooden fence or replace it with metal sheets.

I sat back down on the ground, staring over at the former cab driver. He isn't going to recover from his wounds after all. The brief time I knew him was over, and it wasn't coming back.

 

And to think that the last words that I remembered he had said were nice words. Nicer than usual, even, especially as they were to Nadia, whom he used to somewhat avoid before that. It's as if he had a feeling, deep within him, that he had little time to cherish what he had, the people he spent time with.

 

Just like that, I turned over at Nadia... She was curled and deeply afflicted. Her sorrow was contagious, and sent shivers down my spine. I couldn't even help myself to get up again. I moved a bit, going to pat her, but had second thoughts and merely watched as she sobbed. The suffering she underwent pained me gravely; for a while I watched as tears rolled across my face, and I felt helpless all the while. Eventually, I just curled.

[oh only now i saw that the thread kept going i still dont have much time to mess around  with it even more now that a got a dog for my birthday she is a month and a half old so i spend most of my day taking care of her so yeah it will be a while until i come back to this thread :/ ]

Smith sat at the bar stool, a rather usual drink for him was in his hand. He felt nervous, he couldn't understand why, no matter how much he tried to justify it.

Not even the automated music in the bar put him at ease, it just showed how empty the wine cellar's bar was, and it affected him in a strange way, he would even think that he was being watched as well.

 

"Another day of this...Fuck me." Smith said bitterly.

 

Drinking was something he rarely partook in, despite his attitude and personality, smith still tried to be a upstanding person, no matter how bad the situation was, but this was different.

 

He then heard the door open. Looking behind himself, he saw a unfamiliar man step into the bar, almost if it was advertised to everyone in the area, it wasn't an uncommon experience, after all, morris thought of opening the place up as a bar for everyone who waltzes into this yard.

 

The stranger walked towards the bar's counter and sat down on the stool right next to smith, almost if this was all planned.

Smith turned his head to face the newcomer, a rather small but noticeable scowl on his face.

 

"So, what brings you around here?" Said smith.

 

The new man looked at smith, a slight smirk on his face, and began to speak.

 

"Ah nothing, just decided to take a drive and see what this place was about, sure are some nice little communities around here." The stranger said.

 

Smith chuckled, in his mind, he came up with several jokes that he knew wouldn't be very nice about this stranger's situation; the door of the wine cellar opened, and several strangely dressed men stepped in, all of which had angry expressions on their faces.

 

Both men at the stools turned behind therm and stared at the intruders, smith still had his scowl on, and the stranger had a rather amused expression on his face.

The group of men walked smugly to smith and the stranger, it was rather obvious that the intruders had other intentions for them instead of just talking.

 

"So! Who the fuck runs this place?! Better yet, why don'tcha' two get outta' here." The leader of the group said.

 

Smith's scowl turned into an expression of gritted teeth of rage. The stranger chuckled briefly before standing up, he turned to the group of intruders and started to speak.

 

"Heh, I wondered when mikela would send his goons!" The stranger said in a rather smug tone.

 

The group's leader stared at the stranger in shock before his expression turned to rage. The other men turned to look at the newcomer, their faces mirroring the leader perfectly.

 

"Maguma! Is that you? You fucker!" The leader screamed.

 

The stranger turned his entire body to face the group, his face as smug as ever. He then struted towards the group, his personality oozed smugness, and even it was making smith feel a certain way.

 

"The one and only~!" The stranger said in a smug tone.

 

The stranger backed up a little, he then did some mock punches and said something briefly that smith couldn't understand. He did a dumb spin as well, it was clear at this point that the stranger was trying to goad the group into a fight, not only with his attitude, but also his mannerisms.

 

The group's leader cracked his knuckles while seething, the others pulled out weapons.

 

"We're gonna make you fuckin' regret this you smug prick!" Said the group leader.

 

Maguma got into a strange stance and hopped a little. After his warm up routine, the stranger known as maguma went back to his strange stance.

 

'It definitely was strange.' Smith thought to himself. After all, the man's stance left him wide open to attacks, and it looked more like something someone would use to mock someone instead of fight.
